TODAY, marks the 11th day until I leave. In fact, in about 11 days and 45 minutes, my plane will be leaving! How unreal is that? My sleep is limited due to excitement, so I don't have a lot to say.
I have really been getting into more French music since my last post, on Sunday. I'm listening to a mix of Jacques Brel, Edith Piaf, Carla Bruni, Lucienne Boyer and Luis Mariano. I am loving every minute of it, if I may add. I highly suggest you check out these tunes. I am too lazy to post links to them, and I have enough to do already, so I am going to leave the scoping out to you. Of course I have just posted a few of my favourites, because there are too many good ones to list.
Jacques Brel- La Chanson des Vieux Amants
Edith Piaf- Sous le Ciel de Paris
Lucienne Boyer- Parlez-Moi D'amour
Carla Bruni- Quelqu'un M'a Dit
I'm hoping to see Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris at the Festival this year, it's supposed to be very good.
Actually today and yesterday I watched two movies. Today I watched Love in Thoughts, a German movie. To get myself hyped for Germany I've been watching German movies. This one was weird! It was pretty good, lots of beautiful faces that's for sure. It's very sensual, there is obviously a lot about love in it. I liked it, I would recommend it to anyone with an open mind. Yesterday I watched "The September Issue" an okay documentry about a very important September issue of Vogue magazine, with a focus on the head editor of American Vogue, Anna Wintour. It showed a lot of interesting stuff, but I wouldn't say anything set it apart from the average documentry. I would recommend it to anyone who loves fashion though.
Anyway, I must be off. I have so much to do in so little time with so little energy. It's a match made in heaven. Ta ra
